I was excited to hear that the new secretary of Health and Human Services, Tom Daschle, was reaching out to the American people for input on what a reformed healthcare system would look like. Imagine — asking the people who must participate. What a unique and exciting concept!
That was… until I actually went to Change.gov and read about how these “Healthcare Community Discussions” were deemed to take place.
And now? I’m not sure that’s his intent at all.
Read what I have to say about it all.

Tom Daschle is all about Tom Daschle.
If people would stop slobbering all over these psuedo “Messiah’s” and realize that lifelong “public servants” have no more clue than anyone else, we all might then – and only then, take effective actions that would result in better service for ourselves.
Now that might be empowering – doing something for ourselves! Demanding what we need – imagine. Judging by the dearth of situational intelligence demonstrated in polls and interviews of voters in recent election, it will be hard to imagine people taking much if any initiative.
These hearings or forums are all staged simply to render maximum exposure for Daschle to masquerade as actually doing something when in effect it is all about the big plan – the reeducation of people to accept the socialization of our country. Dream on people…
